Senior Full Stack Developer

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our Web and eCommerce team. At Valve we excel at building sophisticated web applications, including complex WordPress-based solutions, and we work with a wide range of clients from various industries who trust us to create customized, highly functional, integrated solutions that form a core part of their digital strategy.

What are we looking for from you? For this role, we are seeking a Developer who can bridge technical excellence with business understanding. You should be skilled at understanding client needs and translating them into innovative solutions, while being extremely comfortable planning and implementing complex web applications, building WordPress plugins from scratch, and working with third-party integrations.

In addition, a successful Senior Full Stack Developer is able to consistently produce high-quality work, provide supported feedback to colleagues, help develop our tools and systems, contribute to team development, be communicative with colleagues, demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, and be a fun part of the team.

Our developers usually work in pairs, so you've always got someone to bounce ideas off. We love to share and learn from each other, and we encourage everyone to suggest and contribute to improvements in how we work. We believe high-quality, beautiful code is just as important as beautiful design. Please note also that we expect applicants to have the ability to work fluently in English and to live in Finland to ensure efficient teamwork and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Developing client and internal projects
• Working collaboratively with colleagues
• Reviewing colleagues' code and providing feedback
• Contributing to the improvement of our internal tools and development processes
• Planning technical implementation of projects
• Overseeing technical documentation
• Contributing to the team's skill development
• Acting as a mentor to other developers 

Skills, knowledge and experience

• 4+ years of experience in full stack development
• Strong experience with modern web applications and WordPress ecosystem
• Proven track record of completed projects
• Ability to work independently
• Experience in relevant programming languages and modern development tools
• Database knowledge (SQL)
• DevOps experience
